Reindeer Chow

Of course, we always leave out cookies out for Santa abut we felt bad that we had never left any treats for all his helpers. We had heard that Santa’s reindeer all had a bit of a sweet tooth, so I made this sweet treat to leave for them to snack on while Santa was busy doing his thing. I have it on good authority that all of Santa helper’s love this reindeer chow.

This Reindeer Chow is a quick, easy recipe to throw together for any unexpected reindeer company or as a last minute hostess gift during the busy holiday season. Get your kids to help you measure and pour the ingredients for this very kid friendly recipe.

Feel free to customize this recipe with your favorite flavors to make it your own. If you don’t have one ingredient, use whatever you have on hand. It’s a great way to use up those little bits and pieces in your pantry.

Make a double batch to share. One for the reindeer and one for your holiday helpers because everyone deserves an easy sweet treat for the holidays.

Instructions
  1. Combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl 30 seconds at a time, stirring after time, until chips are melted.
  3. Add melted white chocolate chips to bowl and mix well until everything is coated.
  4. Pour mix onto a silicone mat or parchment paper covered baking sheet and spread out evenly. If desired, sprinkle mix with sanding sugar and sprinkles.
  5. Place baking sheet in the refrigerator for 20 minutes until firm.
  6. Break into small bite size pieces and store in a plastic storage bag until needed.
